You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska. The campaign is being led by many enthusiastic volunteers representing all areas of the University of Nebraska System. UNL anchors the campaign, with a goal of $1.5 billion from enthusiastic donors. This position will work in our Lincoln or Omaha office.
Ways you will make an impact:
Plan and implement major and planned gift fundraising by connecting prospects to their passions through a strategic effort of identification, cultivation, solicitation, and continuing stewardship.
Support and assist development personnel in the solicitation of planned gifts by providing case strategies, deduction calculations, comparative proposals, and other estate planning information.
Assist gift planning team members in the overall planned gift development strategy.
Monitor and review changes and development of new techniques in tax and legal areas affecting planned giving.

What you need:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree. Preferred Education: Graduate degree in business, finance or law, or professional certification (e.g. CFRE or CAP®).
Minimum Experience: 2-4 years’ experience in gift planning, finance, estate planning, insurance or related field with transferable skills.
Strong oral and written communication.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Strategic planning and leadership abilities.
Strong analytical skills.
Discretion in handling confidential matters.
